Stage 3 water conservation measures effective Nov. 1 in Heath

(Heath) Stage 3 water restrictions will be implemented by the City of Heath at the request of the North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD), the city’s water supplier via the City of Rockwall. The watering restrictions are necessary due to the continued drought.

As of Tuesday, Nov. 1, City of Heath water customers will be limited to watering landscapes and lawns with sprinklers or irrigation systems once every two weeks. The schedule, shown below, may be updated periodically and published in the City’s monthly newsletters and online at heathtx.com.

Stage 3 restrictions are mandatory, and violations could result in a fine of up to $2,000.

Other activities prohibited under Stage 3 include:

Hosing of paved areas, buildings, or windows. (Pressure washing of impervious surfaces is allowed.)

Operation of all ornamental fountains or other amenity impoundments to the extent they use treated water.

Washing and rinsing of vehicles by hose except with a hose and cutoff nozzle.

Using water in such a manner as to allow runoff or other waste.

If you have a lawn or chemical service applying treatments on a regular basis, please inform the company of this watering schedule so that applications can be made accordingly. More information and tips on water conservation can be found at ntmwd.com.

Addresses ending in the numbers listed are allowed to water on the dates shown between the hours of 6 p.m. and 10 a.m. the following day.
