“5 Mistakes Professionals Make With Their Personal Brand Online and How to Avoid Them”

Women’s Business E-nitiative works to empower women through female-focused training

(Garland) Tanya Smith, founder of “Be Promotable,” joins the Women’s Business E-nitiative at the program’s kick-off event for 2012.

The Garland Chamber of Commerce Women’s Business E-nitiative hosts the year’s first Empowerment Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15.

The event takes place at the Hyatt Place Dallas/Garland hotel with speaker Tanya Smith. Smith is a Certified Personal Branding and Marketing Coach focused on smart promotion and business productivity techniques. As the WBe works to fulfil its purpose of providing leadership development opportunities through events like the Empowerment Luncheon, Smith’s area of expertise is a logical fit with the program.

In today’s web-driven culture, a person’s online presence is more important than ever before.

With current trends in mind, Smith will share insight on how to clearly stand out from competitors and overcome common marketing obstacles in a program titled, “5 Mistakes Professionals Make With Their Personal Brand Online and How to Avoid Them.”
