Local schools rally for former employee with brain cancer

Fundraiser at Joe Willy’s to help Rockwall family

(Rockwall ISD) Amy Parks-Heath Elementary, Amanda Rochell Elementary, and Rockwall-Heath High School are hosting a fundraising event from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 1 at Joe Willy’s for Marvin “Jose” Villalobos.

Thirty-three-year-old Villalobos was diagnosed with brain cancer while working at Amy Parks-Heath Elementary and Rockwall-Heath High School.

Through aggressive cancer treatments, symptoms of dementia appeared, preventing him from fulfilling his current duties at Rockwall-Heath High School, requiring him to stay at home under the care of his wife and children.  His children attend Amanda Rochell Elementary School.

Join the partnering campuses at Joe Willy’s as friends and community members show their love and support for the Villalobos family.  Patrons can dine inside or purchase a “Rain-Check” certificate for future use at Joe Willy’s.

Supporters are encouraged to come for dinner to help reduce the financial hardship for this Rockwall family.
