Reduced adoption fees on VIP pets at Rowlett shelter

Wally

Adoption fees lowered now through Saturday, April 21

To make room at the Rowlett Animal Shelter, Friends of Rowlett Animals (FRAs) is sponsoring several adoptions, reducing fees to $25 ($5 for seniors) on VIP pets, including all black dogs and cats, and senior pets.

Adoption fees include spay/neuter, current vaccinations, de-worming and disease testing. Plus, the Rowlett Animal Shelter provides pre-adoption assessment and veterinary care.

Out of the 8-10 million cats and dogs that entered shelters last year, 4-5 million were euthanized. In Rowlett alone, more than 2,000 pets were picked up by Rowlett Animal Control last year.  Only 500 were returned to owners; 771 were adopted or sent to other shelters and rescue groups.  The remaining pets, numbering about 700, were destroyed. By adopting a pet, you are saving a life.

FRAs believes all homeless pets deserve a second chance. Visit the Rowlett Animal Shelter at 4402 Industrial St., Rowlett, 75088; call 972-412-6219; or email .
