Radio host Mark Davis, Congressman Sam Johnson to honor scholarship winners

(Frisco) June 4, 2012 – Radio talk show host Mark Davis will be the keynote speaker for the Frisco Area Republican Women’s 10th Annual Shirley Melton Johnson Scholarship Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 12.

Congressman Sam Johnson will join Davis in honoring two Frisco Education Foundation scholarship recipients: Brittany Easterling of Lone Star High School; and Emily Baudot of Liberty High School – both selected for their conservative values, leadership skills and academic achievement.

In addition to honoring the scholarship winners, the talk show host and columnist will discuss:

  • What we learned from the primaries
  • Is the Tea Party still a force to be reckoned with?
  • Cruz and Dewhurst campaigns
  • Romney philosophies

Davis hosts his new show, 660 AM The Answer weekdays on KSKY from 7 am – 10 am, after failure to reach an agreement with the new owners of WBAP, Cumulus Media Inc.  The conservative host and 18-year Dallas area personality frequently appears on FOX 4 and WFAA and has a column in the Dallas Morning News.

The luncheon at the Frisco Lakes Golf Club will be attended by many city and state elected officials and is open to the public. Luncheon tickets can be purchased online at FARW.org.

The Frisco Lakes Golf Club is located at 7170 Anthem Drive in Frisco.
