The Rockwall Breakfast Rotary sold  raffle tickets throughout Race Week and during the Family Fun event on Friday evening.

Dallas Race Week dates back to 1982, bridging the week of Summer Solstice. For the past eight years, the regatta has benefited the community service projects of the Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Club, whose motto is to “Sail into Service.” Their mission is to provide funding for programs that address issues of poverty, hunger, illiteracy and health care affecting the local community.

This year’s supported organizations included the Boys & Girls Club of Rockwall County, Pregnancy Resource Center, and the Rockwall County Library’s Reading for Adults program. They each received a check for $3,000 from the Rockwall Breakfast Rotary, presented by Billy Self during last night’s closing ceremonies.
