ROCKWALL (February 1, 2014) The Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce recognizes Rick Filip, president of Filip Insurance Services, LLC, as its Chamber Ambassador of the Month.
Filip Insurance Services has been serving the Rockwall area for over 22 years. As an independent insurance broker, Rick has over 41 years of business consulting experience and owns Filip Insurance Services, LLC.
Rick and his wife Leann specialize in helping small businesses and individuals evaluate affordable options and save money on their health insurance. Rick is certified to help you understand your options under the ACA (Affordable Care Act) and can help you enroll for coverage both on and off the federal exchange.
Filip Insurance takes pride in the fact that they represent a number of different companies and work only for their clients and not an individual company. Rick also helps with solutions for life insurance, dental, vision, critical illness, disability income, Medicare supplement, long term care and fixed annuities.
Since 1992, Rick has been an ambassador and an active member of the Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce. Over the past 22 years, Rick has been active on many committees in the Chamber including the Partnership committee and has served a number of terms on the Board of Directors for the Chamber.
Rockwall has been Rick and Leann’s home for the past 25 years. Both their children graduated fromRockwallHigh Schooland are married. Rick and Leann enjoy their three grandchildren and continue to enjoy over 50 years of boating.
Rick received his MBA from Case Western Reserve inCleveland,Ohio, specializing in marketing and information systems. He received his BS in Business Administration fromValparaisoUniversityinIndiana, concentrating on management and finance. Leann received her BA fromValparaisoUniversitywith a degree in Business Economics.
Rick is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow (LUTCF), a member of the National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors (NAIFA – Dallas), and National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU/DAHU).
In addition to the Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce, Rick has been active in other community organizations and served on other Boards of Directors in the community.
