Rockwall student honored for memory mastery in Mayoral proclamation

ROCKWALL, TX (April 8, 2014) During the April 7th City Council meeting, Rockwall Mayor David Sweet and Mayor Pro Tem David White proclaimed April 7th as Mary Claire Weible Memory Master Day, in honor of the student’s astonishing accomplishments and ability to memorize over 1200 facts in the optional home school program “Classical Conversations Memory Masters.”

Among the facts she memorized were geography and history from ancient to modern time, including historical empires, peoples and countries and the Ten Commandments; numerous scientific facts such as the elements of the periodic table, parts of eight body systems, planets, classifications of living things,  laws of motion; detailed timelines from Creation to Modern America; the list of presidents; the Preamble to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights; countless English grammar facts; Latin noun and verb endings and Bible verses in Latin; math multiplication tables up to 15×15 as well as conversions, geometrical formulas, and algebraic laws.

For three years, Mary Claire has been able to cite these facts, with no prompting or hints.

The City of Rockwall and its citizens are encouraged to applaud Mary Claire for her time and effort in achieving this high honor.

Mayor Pro Tem David White is the proud Uncle of Mary Claire.
