City of Rockwall seeks public input on future neighborhood park

ROCKWALL, TX (July 25, 2014) The City of Rockwall is seeking public input regarding the site plan of a future neighborhood park development located within the Stone Creek subdivision The Rockwall Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a public input forum at the next scheduled Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meeting on Tuesday August 5, 2014. The meeting will begin at 6:00 pm at City Hall, located at 385 S. Goliad.

The developer of the Stone Creek subdivision is slated to dedicate approximately 11 acres of park land that will serve as the neighborhood park for Park District #5 located west of John King Blvd and south of FM 552. A typical neighborhood park’s primary function is to provide recreational space for the entire neighborhood which surrounds it. Park amenities will be constructed in phases as funding becomes available.
