North Texas Beer Week returns this fall

DALLAS, TX (July 24, 2014) North Texas Beer Week returns this year on Friday, October 31 and will run through Sunday, November 9. The 10-day celebration of craft beer in North Texas features hundreds of events with local, regional and national craft breweries. Events will take place all across DFW, and updated event details will be available at NTXBeerWeek.com.

This year, NTX Beer Week is partnering with The Dallas Morning News. As co-presenter of NTX Beer Week, the Morning News will print a special pull out section to be included in the Oct. 31 print edition. With more than 200,000 copies printed, this section is expected to be more than 50 pages, and will be devoted to the area’s growing craft beer movement.

“The depth of the Morning News’ coverage of North Texas Beer Week is a tribute to the continued growth and success of this week long celebration of craft beer,” said Alison Draper, president and general manager of CrowdSource, the event marketing company of The Dallas Morning News. “We are excited to work with the North Texas Beer Week team to continue growing interest and support for craft beer events in and around North Texas.”

NTX Beer Week is also proud to continue its partnership with The Ticket. SportsRadio 1310 AM and 96.7 FM The Ticket will be returning as a headlining sponsor of NTX Beer Week for the second year in a row. In addition to helping promote Beer Week with a significant on-air presence, The Ticket will be coordinating with several local breweries to produce special brews that will debut during the week. These will be featured at the Ticket Tap Takeover at a location to be announced later.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with North Texas Beer Week. To see it grow as The Dallas Morning News comes on board this year is exciting for Ticket fans and fans of great craft beer,” said Jeff Catlin, program director, SportsRadio 1310 AM & 96.7 FM The Ticket.

“The Board of NTX Beer Week could not be more excited about partnering with these two incredibly well respected and influential taste makers. Together, they will be instrumental in helping us increase the awareness and responsible consumption of craft beer in North Texas,” Corey Pond, member of the NTX Beer Week Board.

NTX Beer Week is excited to announce the Brewer’s Ball, a premier inaugural event that will give attendees a one-of-a-kind evening with some of craft beers’ most elite. This event will feature the founders, owners and brew masters from 40 leading national and local breweries, and only 500 tickets are available for the event. The Brewer’s Ball will take place in the newly renovated ballroom at the Renaissance Dallas Hotel and will also feature 12 of the top restaurants in DFW. The $125 ticket will provide beer, food, entertainment and an unprecedented opportunity to rub shoulders with the who’s who of the craft beer industry. Tickets go on sale August  1 and can be purchased on the NTX Beer Week website.

“This unique collection of breweries, the personalities behind them, with some of DFW’s best restaurants in an intimate and elegant setting has yet to be seen in North Texas. We believe Beer Week and the inaugural Brewer’s Ball are important steps towards making North Texas a world-class beer destination,” said Matt Dixon, member of the NTX Beer Week Board. We look forward to celebrating the people, places and great beers that make up the Dallas Fort Worth craft beer scene. Continue to visit the NTX Beer Week website for the latest updates and information. Cheers!”
