Rockwall Community Playhouse to host acting workshops for youth

ROCKWALL, TX (Jan. 24, 2015) The Rockwall Community Playhouse is offering two spring acting workshops for youth. The first one is designed for children in first through fifth grade, and the second one is geared for children in sixth through eighth grade.

First through fifth graders will participate in a presentation of  ‘Velveteen Rabbit’, directed by Stacey Kluttz. Workshop sessions will be 4:30 to 6:30 p.m Tuesdays beginning February 9. Tuition is $150 with full and/or partial scholarships available. Performances will be Friday, April 17 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 18 at 2 p.m.

Sixth through eighth graders will participate in a presentation of ‘The Absolutely Insidious and Utterly Terrifying Truth About Cat Hair,’ directed by Jerrell Drake. Workshop sessions will be held on Thursdays from 4:30 to 6:30 pm beginning February 12. Performances will be April 18 at 7pm and April 19 at 2pm.

Rockwall Community Playhouse is located at 609 E. Rusk – just two blocks off the downtown square.
