Rockwall Police Chief announces retirement

ROCKWALL, TX (Feb. 20, 2015) Rockwall Police Chief Mark Moeller will retire on July 17, 2015 after 13 years of service to Rockwall and 38 years in law enforcement.

Chief Moeller began his career as a patrol officer in the Dallas Police Department in July, 1977. He rose to the rank of Lieutenant, holding supervisory positions in multiple divisions within the department before coming to lead the Rockwall Police Department in April, 2002.

Under Chief Moeller’s guidance, the Rockwall Police Department has grown from 45 officers and 18 civilian personnel to the current strength of 79 officers and 22 civilian staff. The City’s population grew from 23,000 in 2002 to almost 41,000 today.
