Springer kids give to Rainbow Room

(ROCKWALL, TX – April 17, 2015) Sixth graders in Mrs. Rogers’ science class at Springer Elementary collected items to donate to the Rainbow Room, which was established in 1999 to provide emergency assistance to children in critical situations. The Rainbow Room’s mission is to help families through traumatic times by providing additional services and items for the children that include backpacks and school supplies, clothing stipend, personal hygiene items and Christmas gifts.

Since the opening of the Rainbow Room, hundreds of children and families served by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services have benefited through the generosity and support of the Rockwall community.  To enhance the self-esteem of these children, the Rainbow Room only accepts new items for distribution to the children and families.
