(ROCKWALL, TX – May 27, 2015) Local non-profit organization Lakeside AMBUCS presented its biggest Amtryke giveaway yet on Thursday, May 21 at Honda Cars of Rockwall.
The event saw five local-area children with disabilities fitted to their very own Amtryke, and smiles and cheers abounded as Bryleigh Phillips (2), Luca Luevano (4), Jamarcus Hamilton (7), Arianne Sanchez (4) and Jonas Lou (3) were strapped in and then given the chance to take their new set of wheels for a spin — right inside the dealership!
The parents of the lucky toddlers were also given the opportunity to briefly express their gratitude to the Lakeside AMBUCS staff members for their kindness and dedication.
Created in 1922, AMBUCS consists of a diverse group of business men and women dedicated to creating mobility and independence for disabled children and wounded veterans by providing them with Amtykes – a tricycle designed specifically to tailor to the needs of children with mobility issues and disabilities – at no cost.
Lakeside AMBUCS comprises of a caring group of volunteers from around the Lake Ray Hubbard area who go to great lengths to ensure that every child has the opportunity to play and grow.
Lakeside AMBUCS would like to give a shout-out to Honda Cars of Rockwall for acting as gracious host to its largest giveaway in the chapter’s short history. Their next giveaway will take place on June 20th (location TBD).
