Fate DPS focuses enforcement efforts on Sober Roadways

FATE, TX. (June 29, 2015) The City of Fate Department of Public Safety Chief Brian Griffith’s message reminds everyone of the dangers of Driving While Intoxicated.  The Fate Department of Public Safety will focus enforcement efforts from 6/25 through 7/7 2015 with a goal of sober roadways in and around Fate.

Drunk and drugged driving remains a primary contributor to deaths and injuries on our roadways and the Fate Department of Public Safety makes strong efforts to combat this problem through DWI enforcement to reduce incidents of drunk and drugged driving along with related motor vehicle accidents and injuries.

The Fate Department of Public Safety’s participation in a recent grant from the Texas Department of Transportation for increased Driving Under the Influence enforcement in conjunction with cooperation of our residents makes for safer travels in and around the City of Fate.

“Driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs continues to be a significant cause of injury motor vehicle accidents on our streets and highways.  Participation in this grant furthers the Fate Department of Public Safety’s ability to deploy extra resources in a focused effort to combat DUI drivers in our community,” said Director of Public Safety, Chief Griffeth.

Don’t risk your life or the lives of others, don’t drive intoxicated, designate a driver.
