Rockwall resident requests help to bring Macy home

Lost pet sighted in Rockwall, owner remains hopeful for her return

(ROCKWALL, TX – June 30, 2015) Macy is a 3 1/2 year old Schnauzer/Yorky mix (or ‘Snorky’) who has been missing from the Rockwall area since May 24, 2015. She is microchipped and was wearing a purple and pink collar with a pink bow when she disappeared from her home in the Quail Run neighborhood. She was also wearing a name tag that included contact information for her owner, Brenda Meador, (469) 222-9514.

Brenda contacted Blue Ribbon News for help in spreading the word about her lost pet, after sightings of Macy were reported. Brenda is offering a $500 reward.

“I have hiked , looked under bushes, pastures, etc. I have had professional signs made, and am recovering from poison oak three weeks in,” she wrote. “”I am amazed at all the wonderful people that I have encountered along the way in my search for her. Neighbors have kept me going when my hope has been lost a few times.  I have had several sightings of Macy – the last one on June 15th on Heath and Olive St.  A young lady saw Macy but because she was scared did not pursue her, and another possible sighting on June 19th on Storrs and Fannin St, where a neighbor thought they saw a dog matching her description.”

Because Macy may be acting timid and scared, Brenda says that if anyone sees her, they may have to be persistent in getting her (but not chase her).

Brenda is also utilizing a website called “Nextdoor” to try and locate her pet. She hopes that by spreading the word through Blue Ribbon News and social media sites, that Macy may finally be recovered and returned home.
