City of Rockwall selects new Director of Planning

ROCKWALL, TX. (July 17, 2015) The City of Rockwall has selected Ryan Miller as the new Director of Planning. Current Director, Robert LaCroix, will end his 35-year career in municipal government and retire on July 31st.

Ryan has experience in community development, urban design, and historical preservation, and is committed to excellent customer service. All are important attributes necessary to manage the City’s growth, and stay focused on preserving Rockwall’s unique history.

Mr. Miller has worked for the City of Rockwall since June 2012 and has served as the Planning Manager since January 2014. He previously worked as a planner for the City of Grand Prairie. Mr. Miller has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Austin College, a Master of Public Administration, and a Master of City & Regional Planning Degrees from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is also a certified planner with the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).

Ryan Miller will assume his new position as Director of Planning on August 3rd.
