ROCKWALL,TX. (June 24, 2015) One Rockwall family will soon have a chance to test their brainpower on screen. After applying to appear on Family Feud over five months ago, Marjorie Bradford said she and her family received word that they made it on the show.

The family will be flown to Atlanta, Georgia on July 12 and their show will be filmed July 13-14. Bradford said she and her teammates are “on cloud nine.”

“It feels awesome to have been selected out of thousands of families that want to compete on The Family Feud, meet Steve Harvey and get a chance to be on TV,” Bradford said. “We are beyond excited; it’s surreal.”

Bradford said her teammates consist of her husband Rick Bradford, “Rockstar Rick;” her cousin Debbie Kim, “The Asian Persuasion;” her brother Stanley Robinson, “Stan the Man” and the team captain; and her sister-in-law Kim Robinson, “Classy Kim.” Bradford’s team name is “Marvelous Marjorie.” The family’s team name is “The Dodge Family” after their grandfather. Bradford said they wanted to honor his family name.

“We are such an outgoing, energetic, and like to consider ourselves a smart and witty family, we thought why not? We could do this and maybe even win some money,” Bradford said. “Plus we are all huge fans of the show.”

The application process began with an email, and then led to a live audition in Austin.

“We loaded up the family and headed to Austin to try and wow them,” Bradford said. “We competed against another family in a mock round in a large room filled with a lot of other families. The casting director instructed us to have fun, be loud and let our personalities shine and boy did we.”

As for their winning strategy, Bradford said the family’s main focus is just to have a blast. “We get together and practice, but overall our strategy is to have fun, make great memories and give good answers,” Bradford said.
