Artists Reception at Uptown Downtown Gallery Saturday

(ROCKWALL, TX – August 27, 2015) The Uptown Downtown Art Gallery & Studio, located at 301 N. San Jacinto in downtown Rockwall, will host an Artists Reception from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.  Saturday, August 29 for three new artists – Jill Farrer, Pam Griffin and Ed Alexander. Also, back by popular demand is Rockwall’s Renaissance woman Donna Nelson with select pieces from her Mayan collection and some amazing photography.

Live entertainment by popular local singer Katie Stewart will round out the event.

Pam Griffin is a Rockwall ISD teacher with a flair for abstract art that dances and glides with color. She is the premier artist to launch the gallery’s series in showcasing Rockwall’s talented art teachers.

Ed Alexander is showing a series of three dimensional pieces and sculpture. Color and humor are a part of his talent.

Jill Farrer

Jill Farrer  is an award winning artist whose wildflowers and figurative work captures the attention. She says she’s been compelled to draw and paint since birth, but her passion for painting blossomed in 2007 after a personal, life-changing event gave her the vehicle to express her emotions, visions and dreams.

Gallery owners are H. Doug Agee, J.E.R. Bob Chilton, Betty Jean Hoaglund and James and Nancy Kuntz.
