Premier episode of American Dream sports docu-drama, written by Rockwall grad, airs Wednesday

NFL Hall of Fame running back Tony Dorsett with writer/co-director Madison Liane, a Rockwall High School graduate.

(ROCKWALL/HEATH, TX – September 2, 2015) The American Dream, a docu-drama series profiling athletes who followed their dream and achieved greatness in professional sports, will premier on Fox Sports Southwest at 7:30 Wednesday, September 2. The pilot episode chronicles NFL Hall of Fame running back Tony Dorsett of the Dallas Cowboys, and was written and co-directed by 1995 Rockwall High School graduate Madison Liane.

In the pilot episode, Dorsett shares compelling stories from his childhood in western Pennsylvania, his glory years at The University of Pittsburgh, and his legacy with the Dallas Cowboys, Coach Tom Landry, Roger Staubach and winning a Super Bowl.  Viewers will meet the current day Tony and get a glimpse inside the price of infamy.

Additional interviews in the show include Roger Staubach, Randy White, Drew Pearson, Jackie Sherrill, Daryl Johnston, Jen Welter, and Janet Dorsett.

Writer and director Madison Liane studied under well-known theater instructor Becky Henderson while at Rockwall High. He participated in several UIL competitions and musical productions, including Annie and Grease. After graduating,Madison received degrees from the Dallas Art Institute, as well as theLos AngelesFilmSchool. He and his wife, Alana (also, an RHS graduate ), reside inDallas, with their two children – Jackson, age 6, and Naomi, age 4.  Madison is the son of Dan and Robyn Liane of Heath.
