Heath Hawks Community Athletics shake things up for Rainbow Room, Texas Oncology

(HEATH, TX – October 19, 2015) The girls of Heath Hawks Community Athletics (HHCA) are supporting the Rainbow Room of Rockwall by selling t-shirts and raising donations during Rockwall-Heath High School Homecoming Week.

Items needed include hygiene products (wipes, shampoo, and lotion), sippy cups, toys for boys and pink erasers. Donations will be accepted at the Heath High School Homecoming Celebration on Wednesday, October 23.

The HHCA third grade football team set aside part of their practice to make peppermint milkshakes to bring to cancer patients.

Bryce Woods, Luke Moran and Lucas Swize (pictured left) represented their team and delivered over a dozen milkshakes to Texas Oncology of Rockwall.

The nurses helped the boys place the milkshakes in the freezer so patients receiving chemotherapy could help themselves to a calming treat.

HHCA is a community based football and cheer organization which includes over 300 children ranging in age from kindergarten to 6th grade from the Amy Parks, Jones, Pullen, Shannon, Springer and Rochelle elementary schools. The 2015 football and cheer season runs from September to November with games played in Heath, Rockwall, Rowlett and Sunnyvale.

For more information about cheer contact Angela Cecil at or Daniel Moran at for football.
