Lake Pointe encourages attendees to ‘Fight Like A Girl’

(ROCKWALL, TX – October 6, 2015) October kicks off Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to honor the occasion, more than 170 people attended Lake Pointe Health Network’s (LPHN) 6th Annual In The Pink Luncheon on October 1 at the Hilton Dallas/Rockwall Lakefront.  Attendees included breast cancer survivors, doctors, nurses, administrators and supporters who donned pink attire for the occasion.

During the luncheon, breast cancer survivor Chantel Dauster, discussed her Stage 2 diagnosis at the age of 33 as well as her treatment and recovery over the past year. Later, a panel of breast cancer experts from LPHN discussed advances in breast cancer diagnosis, treatment and reconstruction.

Attendees were also encouraged to take part in a pink-themed photo booth and post photos to social media using the hashtag #InThePink.

Proceeds from the luncheon will benefit community outreach, education and enhanced coverage for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer in the communities served by the LPHN.
