(ROCKWALL, TX – Nov 9, 2015) The Rock Wall Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution held its annual National Defense Brunch Saturday, November 7 at the Rockwall Public Library. The program began with the Advance of the Colors by the East Fork Trinity Sons of the American Revolution (SARS) Color Guard, Commander Walt Thomas.

DAR Program Chairman, Carolyn Duckworth introduced The Honorable John Ratcliffe, U.S. Congressman, Texas 4th District who spoke about America’s National Defense and Homeland Security. He addressed current concerns and possible solutions to terrorism in America and throughout the world. Congressman Ratcliffe honored local Viet Nam Veterans as the Nation commemorates the 50th Anniversary of the Viet Nam War.

Chef Cody Hayes and the Rockwall High School Culinary Arts School prepared the brunch. (see story)
