(ROCKWALL/HEATH, TX – Jan. 27, 2016) The Fulton School students Corley Caldera and Merritt Mitchell were recently selected to represent their school and the State of Texas as Delegates at the Congress of Future Medical Leaders on June 25-27, 2016 in Boston, MA. Caldera and Mitchell were recognized for their outstanding academic record, leadership potential and desire to contribute to the medical profession by becoming a physician or medical scientist.

The Congress of Future Medical Leaders is a highly coveted national academic honors program awarding academically superior high school students dedicated to pursuing a career in medicine. At the three-day event, students will have the opportunity to meet with Nobel Prize winners and other award-winning young inventors and scientists, as well as viewing a surgery and submitting questions to the surgeon to answer in real time during the procedure.

At the close of Congress, students will then be presented with the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists Award of Excellence.
