Heath Mayor Lorne Liechty endorses Mark Kipphut for McLendon-Chishom City Council Place 2

(ROCKWALL, TX — April 29, 2016) Mark Kipphut announced on Monday, April 25, that Lorne Liechty proudly endorses him due to his extensive leadership experience, strong commitment to ethics and his commitment to the Constitution. Kipphut is running for McLendon-Chishom City Council Place 2.

“As a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel, Mark possesses the smarts, honesty and impeccable integrity to honorably lead. And when you combine his work ethic and leadership experience with his commitment to protecting taxpayers, he is without a doubt the perfect fit for the McLendon-Chisholm City Council,” said Liechty.

Heath Mayor Lorne Liechty is impressed with Kipphut’s willingness to take on hard issues that are critical for any city, including public safety and infrastructure. Kipphut met with Liechty to understand how Heath created their water supply system. McLendon-Chisholm has suffered since last July with chronic water shortages due to the inability of suppliers to meet basic demand. Kipphut is focused on learning how to ensure better service can be provided to all residents of McLendon-Chishom so they can hold suppliers accountable so residents can water their lawns and gardens when the lakes are full. Kipphut added that with the recent unannounced 40% + price increase by RCH Water Supply, “we have to pay more for less service, this is unacceptable.”

“I am honored to have Mayor Lietchy endorsed my campaign,” said Kipphut. Kipphut will use his extensive military leadership and business experience to lead McLendon-Chisholm’s infrastructure improvements, including roads and water, so its growth is aligned with the will of its citizens and needs of the community.

Mark and his wife, Lorna have been married for 29 years and have one daughter, Madeline.
