Local author Mary DeMuth’s latest book, Worth Living, releases May 3

(ROCKWALL/HEATH, TX – April 23, 2016) Prolific writer and veteran author Mary DeMuth, of Rockwall, exposes the truth of where self-worth really comes from in her latest book, Worth Living: How God’s Wild Love for You Makes You Worthy (Baker Books, May 2016).

DeMuth has overcome a difficult childhood of neglect and abuse and has struggled with feelings of worthlessness. Over her years as a speaker and blogger, she has seen that for many others the past is broken and the future is unknown. She writes with compassion for those who need to believe that God is good, loving, and faithful. She has published over thirty nonfiction and fiction books, including The Day I Met Jesus and The Wall Around Your Heart.

Well-known author and speaker Sheila Walsh says, “Mary writes not as a spectator of life but as one who has lived it in all its broken beauty. The wisdom and grace she shares are powerful.”

In Worth Living, DeMuth aims to help women embrace their worth in light of God’s love, to equip them to overcome shame and live with confidence. She shares her own gripping narrative along with ten truths that will help readers become whole again.

DeMuth says, “When you try to fill up the hole inside you with how you look, how much you make (or don’t make), acclaim or hard work, you inevitably get either discouraged or very, very tired,” whereas, “living in light of Jesus’ love for us shakes us free from all these impossible expectations and gives us PEACE.”
