Honda Cars of Rockwall donates new car for Make-A-Wish live auction

Tickets and sponsorship packages for Make-A-Wish^® North Texas’ Annual Wish Night® Gala on sale now

(ROCKWALL, TX – May 5, 2016) Make-A-Wish® North Texas is honored to announce that Honda Cars of Rockwall will be the Live Auction Donor for its annual Wish Night^® gala, presented by Helzberg Diamonds on May 14. The automotive dealer has generously donated a well-equipped 2016 Honda Accord to be auctioned during the 20^th anniversary event in order to help raise the much-needed funds to grant wishes for children affected by life-threatening medical conditions in North Texas.

“We’re thrilled to be a part of Wish Night for the first time and join such an extraordinary community of donors who will be instrumental in breaking last year’s $1.6 million Wish Night record,” said Mike Chouteau, Owner of Honda Cars of Rockwall. “With the Accord being named one of Car and Driver’s 10 Best for the 30^th time, we’re hoping this donation receives numerous bids and will go a long way in making wishes come true.”

The industry-leading, donated Honda Accord features an impressive 278 horsepower, 3.5 Liter and V6 engine, giving the car a well-respected 34 highway miles per gallon rating. The car also comes equipped with leather interior, a navigation system and a variety of advanced tech-features, including Honda’s Lane Keeping Assist System, Adaptive Cruise Control and Honda’s LaneWatch systems.

This year, Make-A-Wish North Texas is looking to grant 615 wishes for children throughout its 161-county territory. Sponsors of the annual signature black-tie gala – which include title sponsor, Helzberg Diamonds® and founding sponsor, American Airlines® – play a crucial role in providing children with hope for better times, strength for the tough times and the joy of experiencing the present.
