(ROWLETT, TX – July 13, 2016) Celebrate the Dog Days of Summer at the pool with your pup at Wet Zone in Rowlett on Sunday, August 14.
Your admission to the Friends of Rowlett Animals’ Pooch Plunge allows you and your dog access to Wet Zone’s pools for three hours of fun in the sun, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Pooch Plunge has been an annual fundraiser for Friends of Rowlett Animals for seven years. The City of Rowlett used to host the “Dog Swim” (as it was called before FRAs’ involvement) at the Wet Zone, and in 2009 FRAs took over running the event and receiving funds from admission fees. In 2015, FRA had its biggest year yet, with almost 350 dogs showing up!
The cost is $10 per dog; humans are free. Proof of rabies vaccination required.
