Paul Ruffo tells neighbors why he filed for Heath City Council, Place 2

“Let’s ensure Heath remains a place where the next generation will WANT to reside.”

(HEATH, TX – March 29, 2017) “After filing to run for Heath City Council, I have been meeting people, knocking on doors, talking to residents, and noting the concerns of the community,” says Paul Ruffo.

“I learned a lot by living in the Denver Metropolitan area, where our family resided for six years, and witnessed the rapid build out. Armed with insights regarding the positives and negatives of that process, I feel passionate about protecting Heath.”

“The Ruffos love the charm of our rural community, perched upon beautiful Lake Ray Hubbard, with close proximity to Dallas. We appreciate the large lots with spaced out homes, green space, and overall open feel.”

Ruffo added, “There is an urgency to protect it. The rural charm will not protect itself.”

Paul and Kristi say they strive to raise their three children; Isabella (11), Paul Thomas, (9), and Jonathan (6), with biblical values and a strong sense of community involvement.

“The children have been great knocking on doors and interacting with fellow residents. With every positive response from a community member, or homeowner that asks for a sign, the kids get excited and say ‘Dad, I think we’ll get that vote!’ It’s been very exciting and rewarding.”

Paul Ruffo works as a Business Consultant, employed by NTT Data. Ruffo thinks his professional skills can help him serve Heath.

“While working for MWH (my previous employer), we solved pain points and improved operations of local municipalities and energy utilities through effective Capital Investment Planning, business process optimization, and management of physical assets. That experience gives me valuable insight into the inner workings of municipal governments.”

“After knocking on 700 doors, I am encouraged and excited to hear our residents embrace our passion for protecting Heath’s rural charm. The people of Heath mirror what I stand for: homes on large lots, opposition to unchecked retail and high density development, and above all, ensuring the community’s voice drives the direction of Heath.”

Paul is an avid runner. Another reason he says he appreciates a rural atmosphere.

The election for Heath City Council is scheduled for May 6 with early voting beginning April 24.
