Storm cleanup continues in Rockwall

(ROCKWALL, TX – March 30, 2017) Crews were still on scene in the Dalton Ranch neighborhood today, helping residents recover from Wednesday’s storms in North Rockwall.

The Rockwall Fire Department continued to maintain the Mobile Command Unit to support the workers on site. The Rockwall Building Official has been meeting with insurance adjusters throughout the day to help them gain access to damaged homes. The Rockwall Police Department is on scene, and will continue to provide 24-hour police presence until residents are able to secure their property.

On Saturday, Republic Waste will provide an additional service as a courtesy to Dalton Ranch residents. They will have three trucks in the neighborhood collecting additional storm debris, which will be picked up at the front curb as regular bulk collection.

The roads in the vicinity will continue to be closed for the time being, and only residents will be allowed to gain access to the neighborhood.

The City of Rockwall would like to express its sincere appreciation to the members of Rockwall CERT, for their efforts in the response to this event. The volunteer organization has played a crucial role in the cleanup and recovery from these storms and their hard work has not gone unnoticed.
