Rockwall Chamber recognizes new Ambassador team member

(ROCKWALL, TX – April 17, 2017) The Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize new Ambassador team member, Troy Ellison.

Rockwall Chamber Ambassadors welcome new Chamber Partners and help them become involved and engaged. Ambassadors are the face of the Chamber and promote Chamber and community awareness. They are measured on a point system based on the activity that they generate by helping our members and volunteering at Chamber events. The top point earner is determined at the end of each month, and then honored the following month.

Troy Elison, president and chief executive officer of GenCore Payment Services LLC, founded GPS in 2016. He operates based on integrity and outstanding customer service. “The level of service we exhibit as a company should always seek to exceed expectations.”

Troy started his career in financial services in the 90’s, specifically working within retail banking. He advanced into a management position by 2002 and quickly found a niche for team management. By 2007, Troy was named Senior VP of SunBank in Arizona, managing all retail banking operations and sales across the state. It wasn’t until 2011 that Troy left the retail banking field to join TransFirst as a Regional Manager of merchant services in southern Texas. This position ultimately brought him to the Dallas area where he managed the merchant services partnership between TransFirst and LegacyTexas Bank. This partnership allowed Troy to oversee all merchant services activities for just under 50 banking centers and a host of support departments such as treasury services and commercial lending.

With the many years of reputable experience in the merchant processing field, Troy was pressed by business owners, advisors, and community leaders to establish a higher benchmark of sales and service within the industry. By early 2016, Troy elected to resign from TransFirst and pursue owning/operating a local merchant processing company based on the best practices acquired over the years.

Today, GPS operates in several parts of Texas, Utah, and California. Though we serve clients nationwide, we continue to place the majority of our resources right here in the Rockwall area. Troy is excited about the growth already achieved and for the relationships already built. GPS will be here, to serve the Rockwall area in person and make sure you have a partner navigating the many turns of merchant processing for you.
