Bike Rodeo draws crowd, promotes bike safety
The professional stunt men stole the show, along with a little help from the audience.

(ROCKWALL, TX — May 24, 2017) Officer Curtis Bennet, the SRO officer for Nebbie Williams Elementary School, organized a Bike Rodeo to promote bike safety.  The event had nearly 40 students who came out with their parents.

Mrs. Holly Sanford, second grade teacher, gets into the spirit of bike safety.

“The stunt show was the highlight, for sure,” says Officer Bennett.  “Bicycling is one of the top activities for childhood injury, so bike safety and wearing a helmet is so important.”  The bike rodeo featured a station for fitting helmets, a bike-check station, a bike course, and more.

“I want to thank everyone who came, especially the volunteers,” continued Office Bennett, “and I wish everyone a safe and happy summer!”
