Rockwall County Clerk nominated for 2016 County Clerk of the Year Award

(ROCKWALL, TX – May 30, 2017) Rockwall County Clerk Shelli Miller was honored this month by Region V of the County and District Clerk’s Association of Texas.

Ms. Miller was elected by a unanimous vote of her peers to represent Region V as their nominee for the statewide “2016 County Clerk of the Year Award.” Rockwall County is part of Region V that represents nearly six million Texans in thirty northcentral Texas counties. Hailed as one of the highest and most esteemed honors by County and District Clerks across the state, the award honors extraordinary dedication and commitment to the profession.

Ms. Miller was elected as the Rockwall County Clerk in November 2010 and re-elected in November 2014. Since taking office, she has worked diligently to bring innovation and technology to her office while protecting the integrity of the county’s records. Rockwall County is considered a leader in the state due to her efforts to preserve the county’s priceless historical records. Ms. Miller has been the recipient of several awards during her years in office, including, most recently, the highly coveted “State of Texas Vital Statistic 5 Star Award.”
