Introducing Rockwall ISD valedictorians, salutatorians

(ROCKWALL/HEATH, TX – June 4, 2017) Rockwall-Heath High School and Rockwall High School seniors will graduate this Tuesday, June 6, and Wednesday, June 7, respectively. Congratulations to the Valedictorians and Salutatorians, and all of the graduating students!

Andrew Spletter (RHHS Valedictorian)

Andrew has attended Amy Parks-Heath Elementary School, Cain Middle School and Rockwall-Heath High School. He is a member of the Heath Tennis team, National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and participated in the Might Hawk Band. Andrew is also a National Merit Commended Scholar.

He will pursue a degree in Chemical Engineering at Texas A&M University in College Station. Andrew’s parents are Rick and Cathy Spletter.

Ian Lowe (RHHS Salutatorian)

Ian has attended Amanda Rochell Elementary School,  Utley Middle School and Rockwall-Heath High School. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and the French National Honor Society. He was a Varsity member of the Heath tennis team.

Ian is a candidate for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program and has been accepted to the University Honors Program at Dedman College at Southern Methodist University where he will pursue a degree in biology (pre-medical program).

Ian’s parents are Jeffrey and Yuko Lowe.

Abigail White (RHS Valedictorian)

Abigail has attended Nebbie Williams Elementary School, Williams Middle School and Rockwall High School. She is the co-founder/president of Science Club at RHS and is an active member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. She works at the CORE, helping teach children about science and technology.

She will attend the University of Notre Dame, majoring in biology, in hopes of becoming a research scientist. Abigail’s parents are Todd and Tisa White.

 

Emily Vu (RHS Salutatorian)

Emily has attended Hartman Elementary School, Williams Middle School and Rockwall High School. She has been a member of the RHS Varsity Orchestra, TMEA Region Orchestras and Greater Dallas Youth Orchestras throughout all of high school. She is the President of the National Honor Society, co-president of Psychology and Piano Club, co-founder of Embrace and a member of Mu Alpha Theta.

Emily plans to attend Mercer University to major in Biochemistry and minor in piano performance in hopes of becoming an oral surgeon. Emily’s parents are Quang and Jackie Vu.
