Reinhardt PTA donates Little Free Library in honor of retirees

(ROCKWALL, TX – June 21, 2017) Virginia Reinhardt Elementary PTA recently dedicated a Little Free Library to honor six staff members who retired in June of 2017.  These staff members included Principal Kaylene Laveen, Carol Anderson, Fran Laman, Loya Merritt, Sherrie Lofland, and Janet Dufraine.

Combined, these dedicated educators gave over 180 years to public education and most of those years were spent serving the Reinhardt Elementary students.  Through this library, their influence will live on in the Reinhardt community.

Special thanks to sixth graders Claire Lowrey, Aubrey Love, Emma Moore, Will Collececci, Henry Hunter, James Dickinson, and Ceasar Aguado for building and painting the Little Free Library.

Stop by, enjoy the books in the library, and feel free to add, as space allows, your own kid friendly favorites.

Little Free Library is a nonprofit organization that inspires a love of reading, builds community, and sparks creativity by fostering neighborhood book exchanges around the world.  Through Little Free Libraries, millions of books are exchanged each year, profoundly increasing access to books for readers of all ages and backgrounds.
