Rockwall and Heath Boys Lacrosse honored at council meeting

(ROCKWALL, TX — June 6, 2017) The Rockwall and Heath Boys High School Lacrosse Team was honored at the city council meeting on Monday for its amazing playoff run ending in a state championship. Mayor Pro Tem John Hohenshelt read a proclamation recognizing Monday, June 5, as Rockwall and Heath Boys High School Lacrosse Team Championship Day in the City of Rockwall.

The team outscored their opponents 82-23 in their victorious playoff run as they defeated Hebron, St. Stephens, Prosper, the 2016 state champs Colleyville in the state semi-finals, and then Greenhill in the championship game on Mother’s Day in Houston. The council also gave special recognition to All State Players Luke Fisher, Brody Lowry, Carson Newman and Jacob Williams, All District Players JC Hohenshelt, Reed Lewis and Hunter Roberts and to U.S. Lacrosse Academic All-Americans JC Hohenshelt and Grant Miller.
