City of Heath Park Board to host Community Input Meeting

(HEATH, TX – August 20, 2017) The City of Heath Park Board is hosting a Picnic for the Parks on August 31 at the Hidden Creek Special Events Center to gather citizen input on the Parks, Trails and Open Space Master Plan now being developed in partnership with the Dallas-based consulting firm, la terra studio, inc.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with a hamburger supper served by In-N-Out Burgers and tours of Hidden Creek. The community meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. Input from all ages and life stages is welcome, including elementary, middle and high school age students.

“This is an action plan, not just a study, that is demand-based, needs-based and resource-based,” explains Park Board Chairman Mark King. “Our goal is to give the City a true direction relative to parks, open space, and trails that is in line with current needs and future growth. Input from citizens and facility users including youth sports organizations is an extremely important part of the process.”

The hamburger dinner is free, but reservations are required by August 24. You can find the online “RSVP” form at www.heathtx.com. Questions? Contact Suzanne Brooke at with questions.
