City of Rockwall appoints new City Engineer and Director of Public Works

(ROCKWALL, TX – August 1, 2017) The City of Rockwall has promoted Assistant City Engineer, Amy Williams, P.E., to City Engineer / Director of Public Works. Former City Engineer, Tim Tumulty, P.E., retired at the end of July after four years with the City and 33 years in local government at the Cities of Carrollton, Mesquite, and Rockwall.

Ms. Williams has worked for the City of Rockwall for more than 14 years, the last 5 years as Assistant City Engineer. Prior to joining the City, she worked for private civil engineering firms.

Amy Williams received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a board member of the North Central Branch of the Texas Public Works Association, a member the American Society of Civil Engineers, a member of American Water Works Association, and a member of Rockwall Soroptimist. Her daughter, Victoria, is a 2017 graduate of Rockwall High School.
