City of Rockwall hires new Fire Chief

(ROCKWALL, TX – August 2, 2017) Kenneth Cullins has been selected as the new Chief of the City of Rockwall Fire Department. Chief Cullins has been with the City of Dallas Fire & Rescue Department since 1995 and is currently a Deputy Chief commanding 250 personnel. He began his career with the City of Dallas as a firefighter and has served as a Driver/Engineer, Lieutenant, Captain, and Battalion Chief prior to achieving his current rank.

The City interviewed several highly qualified applicants for the position, and chose Chief Cullins as the top candidate. “Chief Cullins has been a volunteer with the Rockwall Fire Department for 28 years while working his way through the ranks at Dallas Fire & Rescue,” said Rockwall City Manager, Rick Crowley. “He is the best person to lead the department toward continued success and to carry on the long tradition of providing great service to our citizens.”

Chief Cullins received his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University. He resides in Rockwall with his wife and two children.
