Rockwall Women’s League kicks off club year with Cajun-themed Meet and Greet

(ROCKWALL, TX — August 16, 2017) Current and potential members of the Rockwall Women’s League recently came together for a Cajun-themed Meet and Greet kickoff event with a Palm Beach twist.  Homemade jambalaya, mini king cakes, a hurricane machine, and even an alligator shaped pineapple adorned the hot pink and lime green-themed dining room table.

“The annual Meet and Greet held every August is a kick off to our club year,” Rockwall Women’s League President Lisa Ward said. “It gives women who are interested in joining the league a chance to find out what we are all about and the opportunity to make lifelong friends.  Our motto is simple: Do good and have fun!”

Twenty five new members were introduced at the Meet and Greet and each lady adds special talents, background and purpose to the league.  For prospective members, there is a current wait list to join the league, however there are multiple opportunities throughout the year for interested women to attend meetings and get acclimated to the group.

The Rockwall Women’s League is comprised of 90 active members who raise money every year for local scholarships and non-profit grants primarily through their annual gala and Big Hat events.  Partnered with Dodie’s Cajun Diner on publicity, the Rockwall Women’s League gala theme is Bayou Bash. Promising to be an entertaining, one-of-a-kind affair, the event will be held at the Omni Hotel in Dallas on April 7, 2018.  Sponsorships and tickets are already available  for the event and can be purchased at rwlball.com or by contacting a Rockwall Women’s League Member.
