Grand Marshals announced for upcoming RHS Homecoming Parade
Dewayne and Ann Cain.

(ROCKWALL, TX — September 27, 2017) Dewayne and Ann Cain, lifelong residents of Rockwall, will serve as Grand Marshals of the RHS Homecoming Parade on Oct. 5 at 6 p.m. Dewayne, RHS Class of 1966, played on the Yellowjackets football team, and Ann, RHS Class of 1970, was a RHS cheerleader.

The Cains are highly respected community and professional leaders; they run and operate Rest Haven Funeral Home, their family-owned business.

Beyond their impact in the community, Dewayne and Ann are part of a Rockwall High School lineage that continues even today.

Ann’s parents, Charles and Mary Frances Barnes Atkins and Dewayne’s parents, Ted and Maurine Williamson Cain, all graduated from RHS.  Cain Middle School is named in honor of Maurine Cain.

In addition to their parents, the Cains’ children are also RHS graduates: Amy Cain Perkins (Class of 1994) and Chris Cain (Class of 1997).  Following in the footsteps of their parents, Amy was also a member of the RHS cheerleading squad, and like his father, Chris played football for the Jackets.

The Cains’ grandchildren, Jackson, Johnny and Annie all currently attend Reinhardt Elementary.

As life long residents of Rockwall Ann commented “what a wonderful place it is and always has been to call home.”
