New Advocates for Lone Star CASA

(ROCKWALL COUNTY, TX – Oct. 30, 2017) Ten new CASA volunteers were sworn in on October 30th by Judge Brett Hall.  Pictured from left to right are:  Lyn Pesta, Lisa Webb, Mary Kay Thurlkill, JoJo Harkins, Danette McCracy, Judge Brett Hall, Christy Farnsworth, Becky Leaf, Mariah Rangel, Diane Lanzone and Marta Saucedo.

These ladies completed 30 hours of training, as well as observing court and visiting CPS and a children’s shelter.  CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates.  Lone Star CASA trains community members to advocate for children in foster care in Kaufman and Rockwall counties.
