Rowlett-based youth ministry expands outreach to Central America

(ROWLETT, TX — October 2, 2017) The Men and Ladies of Honor program, based in Rowlett, Texas, is pleased to announce the release of its life-changing leadership and character curriculum in Spanish.

“A door has been opened to bring the Gospel and the Honor Impact to Spanish-speaking communities all over the world,” said Executive Director Tony Rorie.

Through the generosity of North Texas Ford Dealers, the curriculum’s conversion into the Spanish language has been fully funded, allowing expanded outreach into Spanish-speaking homes in the U.S.A. and abroad. The Men and Ladies of Honor, which teaches modern-day chivalry and virtue to boys and girls on school campuses all over the world, including the United States and several countries in South Africa, as well as Belize and Honduras.

“Our next frontier is Central America,” said Rorie, who explained new groups are planned for Nicaragua, while the program continues to grow in Belize.

The Bible-based program originated on a public school campus, and proves its effectiveness year after year with each new launch, most recently in Mesquite ISD schools.

“I want every kid on campus to have the benefit of The Men and Ladies of Honor,” said Danny Taylor, Principal at Terry Middle School, where the program sparked a wave of positive peer pressure on campus in the spring that he hopes to see continue to transform the culture this fall.  Teachers and faculty were excited to relate numerous stories of students opening doors for teachers, taking a stand for honesty and sportsmanship, and even having the courage to stop bullying when they see it.

Through The Men and Ladies of Honor, students are instructed in core values and leadership, specifically addressing character, honor, and integrity.

“We believe every kid has greatness on the inside, and our job is to draw it out,” said Rorie.
