Home Care Assistance presents BINGO for Meals on Wheels

(ROCKWALL, TX—November 9, 2017) On Thursday, Nov. 16 Home Care Assistance will host a night of BINGO from 6-8 p.m. at the Rockwall Wedding Chapel. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit Meals on Wheels Senior Services of Rockwall County.

BINGO cards are $10 each (with 10 sheets per card), and raffle tickets are $5 each. Beer and wine tickets are $5 each. Food is free and provided.

Home Care Assistance Care Director and BINGO event coordinator Karen Carrillo said there will be numerous tempting prizes up for grabs donated by a wide variety of event sponsors.

“We have some awesome gift baskets put together by local business, as well as an assortment of gift cards,” Carillo said. “Our grand prize was donated by Fortress Foundation- a $500 gift card! That prize will be raffled off at the event at 7:45 p.m.”

Guests can enjoy free food from Zanata, Book Club Café, and Nothing Bundt Cakes. Clint Sherman will perform live music, and raffle prizes will be announced throughout the evening between BINGO games. Although the event is geared mainly toward adults, Carillo said it is kid-friendly for anyone who wants to bring their family along to participate.

Carillo, who has 10 years of professional caregiving experience, said she chose to organize an event for Meals on Wheels because she believes in their mission to improve lives of senior citizens throughout the Rockwall community.

“Meals on Wheels has a huge impact on the aging community,” Carillo said. “I identify with them so strongly because their mission is so similar to Home Care Assistance. Our goal at HCA is to change the way the world ages. We want to help the aging population to stay in the comfort of their own homes, as long as possible. Meals on Wheels provides a service helps many of my clients to age with dignity in their own home.”
