Rockwall Fire Marshal’s Division Offers Reward for Information in Arson Investigation

(ROCKWALL, TX – Dec. 16, 2017) The Rockwall Fire Marshal’s Division, in conjunction with A Texas Advisory Council on Arson, or ATAC, is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual or individuals responsible for the arson fire that destroyed a building located near The Harbor District in Rockwall along Interstate 30. In the late afternoon of Sunday, December 10, the Rockwall Fire Department responded to a structure fire located at 295 East Interstate 30 in Rockwall. The fire caused significant damage to the structure and its contents, and investigators have determined arson to be the cause.

Now the Rockwall Fire Marshal’s Division is asking for help in locating the owner of a champagne colored 2003-2006 Cadillac Escalade or similar. See pictures below. This car was seen in the area of the fire on December 10, between the hours of 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. Investigators would like to speak with the driver or anybody who may have information that would help to identify the owner. In addition, investigators are seeking witnesses that may have seen individuals in or around the subject property before the fire.

This incident remains under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Division of the Rockwall Fire Department.
