Snowball Express rolls into Rockwall Dec. 11

(ROCKWALL, TX — December 5, 2017) Rockwall residents have a rare opportunity to honor the children and families of fallen military heroes—men and women of the armed forces who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. The event is called Snowball Express, and it returns next week to Shenaniganz in Rockwall for the third year in a row. Residents are encouraged to take part in this celebratory event next Monday, Dec. 11, starting at 9:30 a.m. to show their love and support.

Those interested in participating need to bring American flags, welcome signs, posters, and a lot of good cheer to greet the children. Last year’s event drew nearly 1,400 family members of fallen heroes to Rockwall. If you’d like to help show our patriotic community spirit to these families in a big way, arrive at Shenaniganz, located at 1290 East Interstate 30, to form a welcome line these children will never forget. The children and their families are scheduled to arrive by bus that morning at approximately 10 a.m., and after a brief reception outside, head indoors for a private event where they will enjoy their time bowling, playing laser tag and tons of games at the entertainment complex.

Snowball Express started in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex in 2006 with a mission to provide hope and new happy memories for children of fallen military heroes who have died on active duty since 9/11. American Airlines flies children from all over the world at no cost, for a four-day experience filled with fun activities, including sporting events, dances, amusement parks and more.
