Rep. Ratcliffe meets with Northeast Texas students at U.S. Capitol

(ROCKWALL, TX — June 14, 2018) Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-Texas) met with a group of high school students from Texas’ 4th District this week who were selected by Texas Electric Cooperatives to participate in the Government-in-Action Youth Tour for 2018.

The annual tour provides high school students in rural Texas a cost-free opportunity to visit the nation’s capital and meet with their representatives in the federal government. Students are selected for the tour by their local electric cooperatives through essay or speech contests.

“It was a pleasure meeting with students from Government-in-Action Youth Tour during their visit to our nation’s capital. It’s always encouraging to see such active civic engagement from the young folks across Texas’ 4th District,” Ratcliffe said.

“Our in-depth discussions about the top issues facing our nation – and the issues specific to us as Northeast Texans – assured me they will go on to be great leaders in our community and country.”
