Interstate Wire Company coming to Rockwall Technology Park

(ROCKWALL, TX – July 11, 2019) The Rockwall Economic Development Corporation (REDC) is pleased to announce that Interstate Wire Company, Inc will be relocating its manufacturing, distribution, and corporate office operations to Rockwall. Interstate Wire plans to build a 243,000 square foot facility on 11 acres at the corner of Observation Trail and Innovation Drive in the Rockwall Technology Park.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Established in 1977 by Jeff Fleming, Interstate Wire is a leading manufacturer and distributor of high quality electronic and electrical wire, cable, and related wire management products. Their products are diversified among many economic sectors including the oil & gas, defense, utilities, automotive, medical, aerospace, and consumer electronics industries. Their core product line includes hook-up wire, multi-conductor cable, coaxial cables, portable cordage, flat cable, molded cable assemblies, and related wire management products. Their products are sold nationwide and internationally with customers in all 50 states and 15 countries.

THE FACILITY

Interstate Wire’s new facility includes expanded manufacturing and distribution space and over 15,000 square feet of corporate office space. Future expansion plans could add an additional 90,000 square feet of production space. The initial project is expected to add $25 million to the Rockwall tax rolls. The company employs more than 75 and will add additional jobs as required by growth. Construction is slated to begin next month with completion expected in the summer of 2019.
