Rockwall robotics students earn Presidential Service award
Full Metal Jacket students Hannah Cowgill, Aaron Smith and Brandon Taylor were presented with the Presidential Service Award by Rockwall High School Principal Dr. Courtney Gober.

(ROCKWALL, TX — July 2, 2018) Full Metal Jacket students were recognized at Rockwall High School’s PTA meeting for earning the Presidential Service Award. RHS Principal Dr. Courtney Gober presented the awards to junior Hannah Cowgill and seniors Aaron Smith and Brandon Taylor.

This is Cowgill’s first time to earn the award, and she volunteered over 200 hours to earn the Gold Level.

Smith is a two-time winner of the Presidential Service Award. As a junior, he earned the Bronze Level and this year he volunteered over 175 hours to earn the Silver Level.

This year marks Taylor’s fourth time to win the award. He earned the Silver Level as a freshman, and for the past three years has volunteered enough to earned the Gold Level. Taylor volunteered over 300 hours this past year.

Full Metal Jackets Robotics Team 1296 is proud of all of its team members for their volunteering. The team’s students average 56 hours a year per student and have volunteered over 3,300 hours since June 2016.
