Nov. 11 Historic Event to Recognize 100-Year Anniversary of World War I Armistice Day

(ROCKWALL, TX — September 18, 2018) World War I ended on November 11, 1918 at 11:00 AM with the signing of Armistice in a rail car outside of Paris, France. The Veterans Memorial in Rockwall, Texas next to the Courthouse at 1111 East Yellowjacket Lane will be the site of a special recognition of this historic day on Sunday, November 11, 2018, at 2:00 PM.

The event will be presented by the Terry Fisher American Legion Post 117 and Rockwall County Historical Commission.  Participants in the program will include elected officials, retired military personnel; Texas Highway Patrol, Bagpiper, and Biplane fly over (weather permitting). Plan to attend this historic occasion as it will only happen once.
